The Armed Forces Retirement Home staff told us they need four-seat golf carts to help get residents in nursing care outside to enjoy the grounds. It didn’t take us long to say yes! The first cart was delivered on August 14th, a refurbished standard seating model so nursing staff can accompany residents who don’t have mobility needs. We have also made a deposit on a wheelchair-accessible model to help all residents get outside! We’re still working to finish fundraising for that cart, hopefully in time for our Veterans Day celebration on November 8th.
